Recommended Action

Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the second reading of the attached ordinance amending Article 6 of Chapter 4 of Title 9 of the Emeryville Municipal Code. These State-mandated amendments would increase water efficiency standards for landscapes. The Bay-friendly landscape provisions requested by Stopwaste.org have also been included, except where they are less strict than the State Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance.
